Something Borrowed – Women’s Career Event, 12 Oct 2012

‘In my mind, I’m always the best. If I walk out on the court and think the next person is better, I have already lost’. Venus Williams

These are the infamous words uttered by Venus Williams; one of the most outstanding female athletes to date. This is just one of many quotes that have been firmly etched in my mind, which gives me the courage and the confidence to press on. It is great advice such as this that will be passed onto the next generation of aspiring, astute women.

We have spent a lot of time and effort seeking out the very best speakers who are at the forefront of their field in every respect; I am honoured to confirm that the following speakers will be in attendance:

  • Jessica Huie, Managing Director of JH Relations and Founder of Colourblind Cards
  • Joyce Otobo, Director Business Manager, UBS
  • Sonia Brown MBE, Founder and Director of National Black Women’s Network
  • Marian Malone, Pediatric Consultant, G.O.S.H

They are looking to pass the baton onto the next generation of women and the expectation is that we will pick up where they have left off.

So if you are a young woman, who is after more than a ‘motivational’ seminar but is looking for practical steps and advice on how to achieve your next milestone, then we expect to see you on the 12 October 2012, 6:00-8:30pm. Tell a friend to tell a friend…

We look forward to seeing you there,
